Silam has been awarded with the prize for Gipuzkoa’s best SME Industrial business, at the XXVI award ceremony held at the Chamber of Commerce in Gipuzkoa.

The Chamber was impressed by Silam’s tenacity, resistance and achievements, positioning the company as a key market leader. The award is testament to the journey that the company has been on and the project it has undertaken. Silam’s history shows a commendable trajectory, not least in withstanding critical and challenging times. Silam has been rigorously managed, implementing a long-term strategy and vision that has cemented their position as market leaders in Spain and a key reference in Europe. In 2017, Silam increased its turnover by 50%, its workforce by 35% and has managed to double its export figures.

The award ceremony was attended by Arantxa Tapia, the Basque Government’s Minister for Economic and Infrastructure Development, and Markel Olano, the President of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.

This award would not have been achievable without the collaboration of our staff of 56, together with our partners, suppliers and clients. You are the ones that invest in us each day and motivate us to keep innovating, transforming Silam into a European market leader.
