Who are we?
Silam, dedicated to the transformation of silicone elastomers, offers a wide range of products.
Since it was founded in 1964, we have envolved until we reached our current organization divided into three business units: Silicone Compounds, Silicone Extrusion and Silicone Electric Conductors.
We are positioned amongst the leading European companies in the use of HTV silicone (high temperature vulcanising elastomer).
Organized as a dynamic and innovating company focused on our customers, we use the most modern management techniques, following the European Foundation for Quality Management (E.F.Q.M.).
We are aware about the current growing environmental problems and we have decided to inscribe our future development in a strategy of commitment with prevention and protection of the environment and with the conservation of the natural resources in order to cooperate to ensure the sustainable development of our environment (See the company’s Environmental Policy).
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
We develop our activity in all markets, carrying out commercial operations in more than 30 countries around the world (Portugal, France, Germany, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, China… amongst others). Our highest priority and future aims are clearly stated in our purpose (both our corporate purpose and the purpose of each one of our business units).
Corporate purpose
We will aim our efforts on the search for formulas to fulfil the current and future expectations of our customers, employees and shareholders. Focusing our commercial and productive activities on the “strategic axis” of SILICONE and the development of ALLIANCES that will allow us to access new market niches, offering competitive solutions to customers who provide us with value. We will work to maintain ourselves as a reference within the European market.
Purpose of Unit 1: Silicone Compounds
To design, sell and produce silicone compounds prepared for their use to distribute silicone bases and/or compounds of special rubbers, permanently offering the best competitive solutions to rubber transformers. Continuously developing Alliances that allow us to be leasers in sales on the Spanish market and a reference in Europe.
Purpose of Unit 2: Silicone Extrusion
To develop, sell and manufacture extruded and moulded silicone products, offering competitive solutions for air-tightness, insulation and conduction of fluids for different sectors. We want to be leaders in the transformation of extruded silicone on the Spanish Market, and a reference within the European household appliance sector..
Purpose of Unit 3: Silicone Electric Conductors
To offer a wide range of high-temperature electric wired to all market sectors.

We have vast experience in the supply of products to customers all around the World.
QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT
At SILAM the concept of quality is included in all our activities and relations with customers and partnerships as an inseparable characteristic of our products and our daily work, fact that allows us to access very demanding markets and sectors.
We have a Comprehensive Quality, Environment and Prevention Management System audited and certified by TÜV as well as different certifications as a result of the audits of our customers.

We have an R+D+i department for the development of new products adapted to the needs of customers in different activity sectors (automotive, aeronautical, household appliances, pharmaceutical sector…).
